Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Tetsworth

Harvest Moon

1 Pump Lane, Thame OX9 3BT, UK – 01844 215272

Fantastic dining experience. Service, Food, quantity and quality all 10/10. We will certainly revisit the next time we are in Thame. Family lunch today and we ate off of the Lunch Special menu.. Good selection and good portion sizes. Thank you folks for a brilliant lunch....

Lovely food and a huge selection for vegetarians. I highly recommend the salt and pepper tofu and the vegetarian duck - I'm a meat eater and still love these. The service here is always good and children are welcome in the restaurant.

Prezzo Thame

12A Cornmarket, Thame OX9 2BL, UK – 01844 218542

Very nice place, food is always amazing, staff are always helpful and it is in a great location. Only problem is if you go in groups they add a service charge and if you don't want to pay it they get annoyed with you. Apart from this, highly recommend

A nice little location, I've been to this venue a few times. Nice pleasant staff, food is always good. On my last visit, it was a Friday night, the place was very busy, a few big parties and we hadn't booked, so just walked in as a table of 2, but they said they could accommodate us , if we just took a seat. We were given no indication how long the wait would be, after 10minutes or so, we were re-assured it wouldn't be too long, they were just waiting for a table to be free. In the end ,the wait was approximately 20minutes, not bad, for a Friday night, as we were walk-ins, but I was shocked that in this time, we had not been offered drinks, not only from a business perspective, but also general hospitality, as a host, I feel this should have been 1 of the 1st things they did, never mind. We had a couple of starters, I had the Etna pizza , which on arrival unasked for a cocktail, the pizza was really nice, the drink happened to be a no show, so eating a spicy pizza with nothing to wash it Dow with wasn't too pleasant, then I had to give the waitress a gentle reminder, I would not be needing my drink I ordered anymore, she had clearly forgotten. I would recommend this place as long as you book a table beforehand.

Bay of Bengal

113 Wellington St, Thame OX9 3BW, UK – 01844 215859

Was not impressed but also not completely disappointed. Service was quite slow. we had a table of 6 and the food took about 45 minutes to come after ordering. I had ordered garlic chicken but when the server brought out my dish, it was obviously not garlic chicken. He said something else and I said "no, I ordered garlic chicken". He then just stared blankly for a moment then said "yes, this is garlic chicken" and set it down. It looked good so I ate it anyways, not sure what the dish was but it was quite tasty. I think I will give them another shot on a future visit to Thame.

I had an excellent meal at the newly named Bay of Bengal earlier this week. The food was fantastic, with lovely fresh flavours. The service was also very good. Very friendly staff! I can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again soon
